反对台独 Anti-independence

　　两阵对垒 Renaming Uproar

　　号称十五万人的「台湾正名大游行」，在李登辉为首的台独份子导演下，演出了一出闹剧。但据台北市警察局估计只有七万五千人参与。一日之后，数千人上街示威，反对台独，呼吁保持海峡两岸的现状，蒋经国的儿媳蒋方智怡也参加了反对台独的集会。

　　The claimed 150,000 pro-independence supporters marched to “The Alliance to Campaign for Rectifying the Name of Taiwan” under the leadership of Lee Teng-hui. But Taipei City Police Department said only 75,000 attended the march. One day after, thousands of people took to the streets to pronounce their anti-independence stance and the will to keep the cross-strait status. Chiang Fang Chih-yi, late president Chiang Ching-kuo's daughter in-law, also addressed the protesters at the event.

　　没有出路的台独 Doomed Taiwan’s Independence

　　由于连战和宋楚瑜联合参选明年的台湾「总统」大选，给民进党及陈水扁带来巨大的压力，为了令陈水扁连任，李登辉及民进党等台独份子，在两岸问题上制造事端，其目的不外乎有两个：一是为陈水扁选举造势，二是为渐进式台独铺路。但是，在两岸统一问题上，谁也无法阻挡中国的统一。

　　The alliance of Lien Chan and James Soong for the “president” election next year has brought great pressure to the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and Chen Shui-bian. To ensure Chen’s re-election, the pro-independence supporters such as Lee Teng-hui and DPP are making troubles on the cross-strait’s issue. There are two main aims: setting stage for Chen’s re-election and the creeping independence of Taiwan. But in fact no one can block the way for the unification of China.

　　随着台湾大选的临近，台独份子还会做出许多罔顾台湾民众利益的举动，中央政府除了口头警告外，应该让他们知道台独的结果是灾难性的。

　　Pro-independence supporters continue their acts to damage the interest of Taiwan citizens as the election comes closer. Besides giving an oral warning, the central government should let them know of the disastrous consequences over Taiwan’s independence.
