　　她的一颦一笑，至今仍倾城倾国；她的音容，至今仍令人历历在目。今年八月三十一日，是已故英国王妃戴安娜逝世六周年的纪念日子，我们缅怀你这位英国人民心中永远的王妃之余，再让我们回顾与展望，这些年来，英国皇室的变化。

　　The Royal Affairs

　　August 31 this year the sixth year of P.D's death, whose smiles and looks, great deeds and memories seem so close to us still. Let us take this chance to look at her past and the present Royal family.

　　花落巴黎

　　一九九七年八月三十一日，在巴黎零晨三时许，戴安娜为了避开跟踪而来的记者，在塞纳河畔隧道内遇上车祸，车上还有她的男友法耶兹。消息转瞬传遍世界每个角落，也惊醒所有睡梦中的英国人，因为谁也想不到，这位被喻为英国玫瑰的王妃，就这样带着充满传奇与悲剧而离开了尘世。

　　Fated Destiny

　　On Aug 31, 1997, everyone in the world was shocked and in deep grief to hear that Princess Di was fatally killed in a car crash in the tunnel near Seine. It was 3 o’clock in the morning in Paris when she and her boy friend Dodi Al Fayed tried to flee from the shadows of reporters that caused the tragedy. Lady Di who was honored as the rose of United Kingdom then brought with her all the legends and tragedies and left us.

　　一九六一年七月一日出生于英国诺福克的一个贵族家庭，有两姊一弟，父母在她幼年时已离异。十六岁中学毕业后，戴安娜当上幼儿园教师，在一次打猎聚会中邂逅查理斯王子。八零年他俩宣布订婚，并于翌年七月廿九日在圣保罗大教堂结婚，八二年和八四年分别诞下威廉王子和哈利王子。九二年和查理斯分居，九六年正式离婚。至一九九七年八月三十一日，在巴黎和她当时的男朋友法耶兹在车祸中丧生，终年三十六岁。

　　In Her Time

　　Diana Spencer was born in a noble family in Norfolk on July 1, 1961. Her parents separated when she was rather small and left two elder sisters and a younger brother behind them. When Diana left high school at the age of 16, she chose to be a kindergarten teacher and it was the time Prince Charles entered her life during a hunting ding. The two announced engagement in 1980 and the royal marriage took place at St Paul's Cathedral on July 29 the following year. Diana gave birth to William and Harry in 1982 and 1984 respectively. Unfortunately, Diana and Charles separated in 1992 and divorced in 1996. On Aug 31 1997, she ended her life together with boy friend Dodi Al Fayed in a car crash in Paris. She was 36 when she died.

　　风中之烛不灭

　　除了她的美貌与一生传奇外，戴安娜令人怀缅的，还有她对慈善事业的热衷。戴安娜生前曾在超过一百间慈善机构当义工，为无家可归者、残障者、爱滋病带菌者和地雷受害者等服务，及至戴安娜死后，其乐善好施的心由以她名字为名的「戴安娜王妃纪念基金」所承继，继续帮助世上所有有需要的人。

　　Undying Philanthropy

　　Besides her beauty and legend, one of the most cherished things about Diana, is undoubtedly her philanthropy. She had volunteered to work for more than 100 institutions for the homeless, the disabled, aids patients and land mine victims. Even after her death, the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund was set up to continue the love she cannot bestow on the needed.

　　一九九七年九月六日，是戴安娜王妃出殡的日子。上午九时八分，载着戴安娜灵柩的灵车，在皇家卫队和威尔斯卫队的护送下，离开她生前居住的肯辛顿宫向西敏寺进发，后面跟着的是戴安娜前夫查理斯王子和她的两名儿子——威廉王子和哈利王子。夹道逾百万名来自伦敦和英国各地的群众默然肃立，超过二千人包括英国首相贝理雅、戴安娜的弟弟厄尔史宾莎，和她生前的好友等一早来到西敏寺，向他们爱戴的戴安娜王妃作最后致意。

　　The Saddest Funeral

　　Sept 6, 1997 the day, Diana had to be buried in her resting place. At 9:08am, the wagon that carried her coffin left Kensington Palace, the place she lived, under escort of the Royal Guards and the Welsh Guards. The hearse, followed by Prince Charles and their two sons, advanced to Westminster Abbey. Over a million populace from London and different parts of UK were waiting aside in dead silence. A crowd of 2,000 people including Prime Minister Tony Blair, Diana’s younger brother Earl Spencer and her friends arrived in Westminster Abbey to bid farewell to their beloved princess.

　　生于一九四八年十一月十四日，身为王储的他，唯一的任务就是等待继承王位。十九岁时和卡米拉相遇，双方暗生情愫，与戴安娜婚后两人仍密切往来，是导致与戴安娜离婚的主因。九七年戴安娜遇难后，查理斯一直受到批评与责难，民望跌至最低点。

　　Prince Charles

　　Born on Nov 14, 1948, all he needs to do is to wait and accede to the throne. The Prince of Wales encountered Camilla when he was 19 and hence romance sparked. Even after marriage, they still hobnobbed with each other and this had been the main reason for his divorce with Diana. When Diana died in the car crash, Prince Charles had been severely criticized and condemned and his popularity reached lowest that year.

　　有子初长成

　　戴安娜虽已离世，但她留下的，除了是永远的高贵形象和仁爱的善心外，还有威廉王子与哈利王子。现在，两位王子都分别长大成人，而且外貌与气质和母亲异常神似，公众都把他们看成易于亲近的对象。更有人认为，威廉王子大有可能越过其父查理斯而成为下一位国王。作为皇室成员，他们免不了比一般人承受更大的压力，和更多的追访、评论。一直有传言指出，哈利王子妒忌所有人的目光均集中在哥哥身上，导致兄弟间不和。

　　Between William and Harry

　　With her death, Princess Diana still left in our hearts her air of nobility and philanthropy. Prince William and Prince Harry have grown up to look like their mother and the public know that they can easily befriend with. Some even think that William might accede to the throne ahead of his father. It is inevitable for royal members to be stressed-out by interviews and critics. There is rumor saying Harry has been jealous of William who often steals the limelight, and the two are at odds with each other.

　　生于一九八二年六月廿一日，是戴安娜和查理斯的大儿子，亦是英国皇室的第二位继承人。现就读于圣安德鲁斯大学的美术史三年班。

　　Prince William

　　Born on June 21, 1982, William is the eldest son and the second heir to the throne. He is now a third year student studying art history in The University of St Andrews.

　　戴安娜的次子亨利王子，生于一九八四年九月十五日，是继父亲查理斯、哥哥威廉王子之后的英国皇室第三位继承人。于九二年曾因吸毒被勒令到戒毒所戒毒，现就读于温莎伊顿书院

　　Prince Harry

　　Born on Sept 15, 1984, Harry is the second son of Princess Diana, and also the third choice to accede to the throne after Prince Charles and Prince William. Harry had been sent to clear up himself in a detoxification center in 1992. He is now studying in Eton College in Windsor。

　　The history of monarchy in UK can be traced back to the 5th and the 6th century. It started with the Anglo Saxon kingdom which underwent civil war, constitution and religious reform to become the recent monarch and families. Now it is called the Windsor empire.

　　六年来，伊利沙伯女王二世一如以往，以她丰富的政治经验和平易近人的态度，赢得了英国人的尊重。虽然皇室中人已普遍接受了查理斯王子和卡米拉的恋情，但人民至今仍然觉得这段婚外情不可原谅，令今年已五十四岁的查理斯王子一直处于尴尬的位置。

　　Over the past six years, Queen Elizabeth II still has the respect of her people by her long-earned political experience and common touch. Though the royal members in general accept the relationship between Prince Charles and Camilla, but most British don’t. They think that this is unforgivable and Prince Charles has always been embarrassed by the topic.

　　支持率下滑

　　去年三月伊利沙伯皇太后病逝，令英国皇室再损失一名深受人民爱戴的成员。事实上，自戴安娜死后，人民对英国皇室的支持率便一直向下滑，主要原因是丑闻事件不断出现，直接打击了皇室的形象。而且有人认为，皇室成员对英国人民毫无建树，但又要纳税人支付他们奢华生活的开支，对英国人民，尤其是现在经济不景的情况下，是极不公平的。

　　Go from Bad to Worse

　　The death of Queen Mother in March last year means a loss of the royal family memeber that had been popular to British. In fact, the popularity had been dropping after Diana’s death. People scandals are the main cause to have damaged the image of the family. Some even think that the royal members are not being constructive and it is unfair for taxpayers to pay for those who live like lords at this time of depression.

　　戴安娜以亲民和仁爱，改变了以往英国皇室给人一贯的冷漠，和远离人民的形象。正因如此，民众对皇室成员的神秘感和崇拜逐渐淡泊。加上传媒变得越来越不顾忌他人的私隐，皇宫中的所有事，对人民来说，已变成茶余饭后的话题。有历史学者预言，在未来数十年，英国皇室将发生很大变化，大部份次要成员大有可能要退下，只余下君王、王储及王储的孩子，以提高皇室的尊贵和代表性。

　　Forecast of the Kingdom

　　The cool, remote impression of the royal family has been warmed by Diana's affinity and benevolence. That's why the mystery and worship were fading out. Adding that the media’s comprehensive coverage exposed everything which then become the talking point of the public. Historians predicted that the kingdom will meet with big changes. Saying most of the minor members would step behind the scene leaving king, princes and their offspring to gain back their due respect.

　　伊利沙伯二世诞生于一九二六年四月廿一日，是约克公爵的大女儿。一九四七年与菲腊亲王成婚，婚后诞下三子一女，大儿子为查理斯王子。伊利沙伯二世于一九五三年接受加冕，正式成为英女王。

　　Queen Elizabeth II

　　Born on April 21, 1926, Elizabeth is the eldest daughter of the Duke of York. She married Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh in 1947 and gave birth to three sons and one daughter. Elizabeth was crowned queen in 1953.

　　伊利沙伯二世是皇室中仍具威严的女王。

　　Queen Elizabeth II is the only person with the most reverence at present.
