　　各处乡村各处例，面对婚姻大事，不同地方更有不同的习俗，不同人亦有不同喜好。

　　在印尼巴里，要结婚必须先申报自己的宗教信仰，因为当地并不接受无宗教信仰的情侣在当地注册。要在美国拉斯维加斯结婚，少有繁文缛节且仪式经济实惠，登记处每张结婚证书仅收费三十五美元，另只需多花三十五美元请婚姻登记处的公证人当见证便可。还有中国云南彝族的新娘哭嫁，即边哭边唱《哭嫁歌》。

　　Custom varies from place to place, preference varies from person to person, so does that for marriage.

　　In Bali of Indonesia, religious belief is a must for those who want to wed there, as the authority does not accept infidel persons to register. In Las Vegas of US, wedding is at newlywed’s convenience in terms of money and procedure. To get a marriage certificate costs USD35, and only extra USD35 to be paid for the notarization. In Yunnan of China, Yi tribe brides are required to cry heavily while singing with “song of a weeping bride”.

　　According to Alcoran, women Muslims have to veil their faces, even in their wedding ceremony. In Jordan, 52 Muslim couples get married in a mass ceremony, but all brides are still cryptic behind the veils.

　　The Ontario Court of Appeal ruled that Canada's ban on homosexual marriage is unconstitutional and it has resulted with a series of same sex weddings.
